Consequence of failure types

Infor Public Sector uses consequence of failure (CoF) types to assign numerical scores to the consequences of asset failures. Each CoF type defines a specific consequence of an asset failure, such as property damage or bad publicity, and assigns points based on the severity of the event. For example, a CoF type for property damage might set the CoF value based on the dollar value of the damage, such as 1 for damage up to $1,000, 5 for damage up to $2,000, and so on.

To calculate the total consequence of failure for a risk event type, you must first assign one or more CoF types to a consequence of failure group.
