Viewing work orders in the Project Viewer

The Project Viewer shows one or more work orders in a Gantt chart, which is a type of bar chart that shows activities as horizontal bars on a timeline. You can use the Project Viewer to show a timeline for any work orders selected in the lookup based on their scheduled start and finish dates. The Project Viewer also shows whether a work order is assigned, unassigned, or overdue, and the identification code for any employee assigned to it.

You can use the timeline in the Project Viewer to help plan and coordinate your resources for the work orders and to predict any potential conflicts in scheduling. From the Project Viewer, you can open work orders in the Work Order InfoViewer where you can edit them and perform other tasks.

  1. Select Work Management > Work Order > Lookup Work Orders.
  2. Look up the work order that you want to view in the Project Viewer.
  3. Select the correct work order.
You can view multiple work orders in the Project Viewer simultaneously by selecting multiple work orders in the list.
  4. Click Action and select Project Viewer.
Infor Public Sector shows the work order in the Project Viewer. The bar representing the work order on the timeline begins at the work order's scheduled start date and time and ends at the scheduled finish date and time. If the work order does not have a scheduled finish date, Infor Public Sector shows the work order's duration as a period of one day. The work order bar also shows the status of the work order and the identification code for any employee assigned to it. You can right-click anywhere in the work order's row and select "View/Edit Work Order" to open the work order in the Work Order InfoViewer.
