Creating a new linked work order

In addition to linking to existing work orders, you can create a new work order that will be linked to the current one.

To create a new linked work order in the Work Order InfoViewer, click Add a Linked Work Order on the Summary tab. If the work order is already linked to one or more other work orders, you can also use the grid on the Linked Work Orders tab. Click Add above the grid, then click the Create and Link a New Work Order link at the top of the dialog box.

You can also create a new linked work order from the Create Work Order form. After creating your first work order, open the Link Work Orders dialog box by clicking the Link button at the top of the final page of the Create Work Order process. Then click the Create and Link a New Work Order link at the top of the dialog box.

Infor Public Sector then shows the Create Work Order dialog box, which you can use to create your new work order following the usual steps. Note that Infor Public Sector automatically enters the asset from the current work order. After the new work order is saved, it is displayed in the grid on the Linked Work Orders tab.
