Editing a spot inspection type

You can update existing spot inspection types. If you change the format type of an existing spot inspection type, the Work Order InfoViewer may not be able to show existing inspection data correctly. The correct data will be displayed in the Spot Inspections grid, but when you edit an existing spot inspection, the Value field in the Spot Inspection dialog box will be formatted according the current format type. If the value in the database is of a different type, Infor Public Sector will attempt to convert it, but not all data types can be converted. For example, if you change the format type from Date to Character, the date will be displayed as a string of characters; but if you change the format type from Character to Date, Infor Public Sector can't show the character data in the date field.

  1. Select Work Management > Setup > Spot Inspection Type.
  2. Enable editing in the grid and select the spot inspection type you want to change.
  3. Update the information as required.
  4. Click Save.
