Adding spot inspections to an activity

Use Spot Inspection Type to define the various types of spot inspections that can be performed. When you associate spot inspection types with an activity, those spot inspections are automatically added to all work orders created for the activity.

Note: Adding spot inspections to an activity is optional, because you can also add spot inspections to work orders manually. However, you must enable the spot inspection functionality for each activity for which you want to allow spot inspections, even if you don't add any spot inspection types to the activity. To enable spot inspections for an activity, select Enable Spot Inspections.
  1. Load the activity you want into the Activity InfoViewer.
    You access the Activity InfoViewer by clicking an Activity link or right-clicking the activity's node in the Activities tree and selecting Open Activity.
  2. On the Information tab, select Enable Spot Inspections.
  3. Select the Spot Inspections tab.
    If Enable Spot Inspections was not selected, close the InfoViewer and reopen it, and the Spot Inspections tab is displayed.
  4. Click Add above the Spot Inspections grid.
  5. Specify the spot inspection type you want to add in the Spot Inspection field.
  6. Click Save.
