Defining standard operating procedures for an activity

If your agency has developed standard operating procedures for an activity, you can record these procedures and show them from the work order. Standard operating procedures may consist of instructions to enter specific information or request certain materials from customers. You can also define standard operating procedures for specific milestones, if the activity has milestones.

Note: If one or more of the activity's milestones has its own standard operating procedures, the milestone’s procedures will be displayed instead of the activity's procedures when the work order reaches the milestone.
  1. Load the activity into the Activity InfoViewer.
    You access the Activity InfoViewer by clicking an Activity link or right-clicking the activity's node in the Activities tree and selecting Open Activity.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. On the Standard Operating Procedures tab, specify any standard operating procedures developed by your agency for the activity.
  4. Click Update.
    The activity is updated with the new standard operating procedure and the Update button changes to Edit.
