Adding affected indexes to an activity

If an activity will improve the condition of an asset, you can quantify the improvement by adding an affected index.

  1. Load the activity you want into the Activity InfoViewer.
    You access the Activity InfoViewer by clicking an Activity link, or by right-clicking the activity's node in the Activities tree and selecting Open Activity.
  2. On the Information tab, ensure that the Generate Updated Indexes check box is selected.
  3. On the Affected Indexes tab, click Add above the grid.
  4. Select the asset type for which you’re adding the affected index from the Asset Type list.
  5. Specify the index that you want to recalculate when a work order for this activity is completed in the Index field.
  6. Enter the formula that will be used to recalculate the index in the Formula field.
  7. Click Save.
