Creating a detail page for an existing table

  1. Open the Page Builder.
Each form that is used to define details in Infor Public Sector has a Name of Detail Page field. To open the Page Builder, open the popup for this field, select Create New Page, and click Next.
  2. Specify a name for the detail page in the Page ID field.
  3. Select Existing Table.
The Page Builder shows a grid listing each existing table that is linked to the table for the page or form to which you're adding a detail. For example, if you're creating a service request detail, the grid lists each table that is linked to the CUSTPROB (ServiceRequest) table.
If only one table is displayed in the grid, the Control Collection grid shows that table's columns. If more than one table is displayed, you must select a table to show its columns.
  4. In the Control Collection grid, specify each column for which you want to create a control.
To add a control for a column, specify the type of control in the Control Type column of the grid. The control types that are available depend on the data type of the column.
You can also select the Automatically Assign Control check box above the grid to automatically add controls for the columns in the table. Infor Public Sector will select each control type based on the column's data type.
Note: Infor Public Sector does not automatically assign controls for all columns. For example, domains and key columns are not assigned controls, because these are not typically displayed in the user interface.
  5. Click Save.
Infor Public Sector shows your page in the Page Editor.
  6. When you're finished editing your page, click File and select Save or Save and Close.
  7. Provide a log message and click Save.
Use the log message to explain the changes that you have made. You can review log messages when you view a page's revision history.
