EDMS configuration

You can use an external document management system (EDMS) such as Infor Document Management or Microsoft SharePoint to manage your Infor Public Sector attachments. In the simplest case, attachments are stored in a directory on your Infor Public Sector application server or on a separate server. Using an EDMS gives you greater flexibility and greater control over document security and metadata.

To use an EDMS you must first configure a provider and then associate it with an attachments catalog. Infor Public Sector includes built-in providers for Infor Document Management, SharePoint, and Micro Focus Content Manager, and you can also create your own custom providers.

You can add more than one provider for the same EDMS, but note that this will cause attachments to appear more than once in the Attachments control. Each attachment that is stored in the same EDMS will appear once for each provider.
