ResourceUsage configuration

The ResourceUsage configuration defines how users can record resource usage and costs for asset inspections, service requests, work orders, and group projects. The only node in this configuration that most agencies will edit is the COSTINGMETHOD.

The root ResourceUsage node can have one attribute:
Attribute Description
Enforce 24 Hours Indicates whether you can enter labor usage for more than 24 hours. If set to True, then 24 hours is the maximum. Otherwise you can enter any number of hours.

Section

The ResourceUsage node has a number of Section nodes as children, where each section represents an area of functionality for which you can record resource usage. Each Section node has these attributes:

id Section ID.
name Name of the section.

Each Section node can have one COSTINGMETHOD node and one MENU node as children.

COSTINGMETHOD

The COSTINGMETHOD node defines how part usage and cost records relate to transactions in Infor Public Sector Inventory. This node has one attribute:

Attribute Description
type Defines whether material usage records must be associated with transaction records in Infor Public Sector Inventory. You can set this attribute to one of three values:
  • Auto Record: Infor Public Sector will automatically create an issue or direct shipment transaction when you add material usage.
  • Check Issues: Infor Public Sector will require you to create an issue or direct shipment transaction before you can record material usage.
  • No Checks: Infor Public Sector will not check your transaction records when you record material usage.

MENU

The MENU node has no attributes, and a number of Item nodes as children. Each Item node represents a type of usage that can be recorded, such as Labor or Extra Item, and has these attributes:

Attribute Description
accessId Access ID for the item. The access ID is a unique number that identifies the permission in Access Control that users must be granted to gain access to this item.
id Item ID.
name Name of the item.
