Schema Manager lock error
Sometimes, when trying to open the Schema Manager, you may receive an error message saying that an installation process is running and the Schema Manager cannot be opened. This is a result of a lock that Infor Public Sector places on the Schema Manager while synchronizing or updating tables in the database to prevent other users from trying to update the database simultaneously.
The lock may not be cleared if the synchronization process is killed before it has completed. The lock is controlled by a record in the Metadata.DBPROCESSINSTATE table. To clear the lock manually, delete that record.
