Changing assignment order
If your agency has a preference for which resources are assigned to certain jobs, you can use the Order of Assignment field to show the resources in descending order with the preferred resources at the top of the list. Showing resources in this way lets your employees know which resources should be considered first when scheduling work. The order doesn't restrict the availability of resources; it only sorts the available times for resources by their assignment order.
For example, your agency may have two meter readers for a certain section of your city and a supervisor whose secondary role is to read meters if required. You can add all three employees to an employee resource pool called Meter Readers and set the meter readers' assignment order to 1 and the supervisor's to 2. When you schedule meter readings, the two meter readers are displayed at the top of the list of available employees.
