Recording contact relationships

You can record information on business or personal relationships between separate contacts, such as indicating that one contact is an employee of another. If a child contact holds any licenses, you can also indicate whether you want those licenses to be available to the parent. For example, if the parent contact is a construction company, then the licenses held by the company's employees can be made available to satisfy license requirements in CDR.

  1. Open the correct contact record.
  2. Select the Relationships tab in the Contact InfoViewer.
  3. Click Add above the Relationships grid.
  4. Specify the last and first names of the contact with whom the relationship exists in the of fields.
  5. Specify the nature of the relationship in the is the fields.
    Infor Public Sector shows two separate fields that you can use to specify the nature of the relationship from each contact's perspective. For example, you might specify Husband in the upper field and Wife in the lower field.
  6. Select the Also add as a licensed child check box if you want the child contact's licenses to be available to the parent.
  7. Click Save.
