Linking duplicate contacts
If multiple contact records have inadvertently been created for the same person or entity, you can link the duplicate contact records. When you link duplicate contacts, you indicate which is the primary contact record. Infor Public Sector expires the other contact record by entering the current date as the expiration date. Note that the record expires at midnight on the current date, so it will continue to be displayed in popups until the next day.
You can also link contacts in an alias relationship if two contact records with different names are for the same person or entity. In an alias relationship, neither contact is expired.
Note: Infor Public Sector includes a set of Crystal reports that you can use to identify possible duplicate contacts. The reports can be found under Reports\CrystalXI\Resources in the Infor Public Sector application directory.
