Defining a product family

  1. Select System > Agency Personalization > Schema Manager.
  2. In the Enhancement Product Families tree, right-click the Enhancement Product Families root node and select Add Product Family.
  3. Type a name for the product family in the Product Family Name field.
    Infor Public Sector uses the product family name as part of the namespace for each business object within the product family. The namespace is used in formulas and external methods to access the agency data.
    Note: C# reserved words cannot be used as product family names. Because the namespace is used in code, C# reserved words will cause errors.
    If you plan to create keywords for your agency objects in the Keyword Manager, ensure that the product family name doesn't include any periods (.), as Infor Public Sector is unable to use periods in keyword names.
  4. In the Owner field, type the name of the agency, department, or personnel that will be responsible for this product family.
  5. Click Save.
