Report authors

Selecting the Report Author check box when you create a user grants the user additional privileges in the Reports Manager. Report authors can use the Action button in the Reports Manager to open the SSRS Report Manager or the SSRS Report Builder. The Reports Manager is used to look up, view, and organize SSRS reports. The Report Builder is the SSRS report authoring tool.

Note that SSRS must be installed on the server, and the user must also have the necessary permissions in SSRS.
