Granting access to a control
When you add a control you can limit which users will have access to the control by assigning an access ID to it. An access ID represents a permission for a set of users to access a specific Infor Public Sector feature. Adding an access ID to a control tells Infor Public Sector which users can access that control on a form or detail page. If you don't assign an access ID to a control, any users with access to the form or detail page that contains the control can use it.
For example, you may want only a small group of users to be able to edit employee records. You could create a role for those users, create an Edit permission within that role for the Employee InfoViewer's button, and then assign the permission's access ID to the button using the Page Editor. Note that you can assign more than one access right to a grid, such as if you want a large group of users to add records to the grid but only a small group to delete records from it. Also note that you can grant access to controls in both Infor Public Sector forms and in detail pages that your agency has defined.
