You can create as many
attachments catalogs as you require, such as a catalog for each department in your
organization. The provider type for each catalog specifies where the attachment files
are stored. For example, the attachments can be stored in a directory on your server, or
they can be stored in an external document management system (EDMS) such as Microsoft
SharePoint.
-
Select .
-
In the tree, right-click the root node and select Create Attachments Catalog.
-
Specify this information:
- Catalog ID
- Specify a name for the catalog.
- Location Path
- If you're using the Fileserver provider, specify the location
where attachments are stored. The location is a virtual directory in
IIS.
If you add a directory in C:\inetpub\wwwroot on the
application server, it will appear as a virtual directory in IIS
automatically. For example, to store attachments in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\attachments,
you would specify attachments in the Location Path field.
You can also manually add a virtual directory
that points to a different location on the same server, or a
location on a different server. Use a UNC path to specify a
location on a different server, such as \\myserver\attachments.
See Setting up attachments on a separate server.
After
you specify a virtual directory in the Location
Path field, the full path of the associated
directory or network location is shown in the Physical
Path field.
Note: Depending on your version of IIS, you may find
that Infor Public Sector does not
properly display thumbnails for your attachments. If this
happens, convert your virtual directory to an application in IIS
Manager.
- Select Provider
- Select the provider that you are using for the attachments catalog. This can be
the default Fileserver provider or an EDMS provider that you have
configured.
-
Click Save.
Infor Public Sector shows the new attachments catalog in the tree.
