Cloning permissions

If two access roles are to have similar permissions, you can copy the permissions from one role to the other. You can then modify the permissions as required.

Note: You must be a role adminstrator to clone permissions.

  1. Select System > Security > Access Control.
  2. In the Role Information tree, browse to the Permissions node for the correct role.
  3. Right-click the Permissions node and select Clone Permissions to Existing Role or Clone Permissions to New Role.
  4. If you selected Clone Permissions to Existing Role, browse to the role to which you want to copy the permissions and click Select.
  5. If you selected Clone Permissions to New Role, specify a name and description for the new role and click Save.
