Roadway types
A roadway type is a particular kind of roadway in your inventory, such as a state
highway, two-lane back road, or a city thoroughfare.
For each type of roadway, you can determine the kinds of features that can be attached to it, such as guardrails, speed limit zones, and bus shelters. For example, a roadway type called StateHighway might include features such as guardrails and carpool lanes, but not the kinds of features that would be found on city streets, like school crosswalks or bus shelters. You can also define right of way position codes, such as Median or Left Shoulder, that can be used to identify the precise location of features on a certain type of roadway, and you can define the distance markers that can be used for all roadway types.
