Viewing a stretch of a roadway in the Condition Viewer

If you want to view only a small section of the roadway, you can specify a shorter range in the roadway's settings. Unlike magnifying the roadway, which shows the roadways entire length but on a smaller scale, changing the range shows only the segment within the range.

Note: When you change the roadway's range, Infor Public Sector does not save the modified length. The next time you or other members of your agency open the roadway in the Condition Viewer, the roadway is displayed in its original length. You can also increase the magnification level of the roadway without changing its length.

  1. Load the roadway you want into the Condition Viewer.
  2. Click Settings.
    The Condition Viewer Setup dialog box is displayed, showing the roadway's current starting and ending measurements in the From and To fields.
  3. In the From and To fields, specify the starting and ending points of the stretch of roadway you want to view.
    If you want to use different units of measure for these values, select the appropriate option in the lists to the right of these fields. If you change the unit of measure, Infor Public Sector adjusts the value in the corresponding distance field accordingly. For example, if the ending measurement is originally 5 miles and you select kilometers, Infor Public Sector changes the value to 8.0467. However, when you view the new range in the Condition Viewer, the ruler still shows the units specified in the Measurement list. In the above example, the ending measurement of the range would be displayed in the viewer as 5 miles.
  4. Click Save.
