Magnifying a roadway in the Condition Viewer

To change the scale of the roadway diagram in the Condition Viewer, you can either change the roadway's magnification level or drag the mouse pointer across a range on the ruler. You can then view inspection data for more precise measurements along the entire roadway without having to zoom in on only one stretch of the roadway. For example, if you change the magnification level of a twenty-mile roadway from 2 to 20, the displayed length of the roadway will increase and the ruler will show increments of 0.1 mile instead of 1 mile. Note that if you magnify a stretch of roadway beyond a certain point, a scroll bar is displayed at the bottom of the diagram so that you can view the rest of the roadway.

To magnify by changing the magnification level, click Settings and select the magnification you want from the Magnification Level list.

To magnify using the mouse, drag your mouse pointer across the ruler to select the segment you want to magnify. The selected segment is displayed highlighted in olive, and the option Fit this range to screen is displayed. If the segment you selected is shorter than your viewer is set to display, the option Zoom to maximum is displayed. Choose this to zoom in as much as your viewer allows.

To show the roadway's original length, right-click anywhere in the ruler, and select Fit entire length to screen.
