in the menu, theYou will see some additional configuration options on the Roadway tab, because the roadway asset type has some unique features. To capture the complexity of roadways, you must first define one or more roadway types before you can add roadways to your asset inventory. Each roadway type defines a different set of information that you can record for your roadway assets, including abstract attributes, physical elements, lanes, and markings. Roadways are also treated differently from other asset types for purposes of inspections, maintenance, and analysis. Because a roadway can be hundreds of miles long, it is not always practical to work with it as a single unit. Instead, you can subdivide a roadway and work with the segments as if they were discrete assets. For example, you can create a work order for a measured portion of a roadway rather than for its entire length. You can also create work orders for roadway features.
