Adding positions to a meter reading route

  1. Select Asset Management > Assets > Water.
  2. On the Meter tab, under Meter Management, click Meter Reading Cycles and Routes.
  3. In the Water Meter Reading Cycles tree, select the route to which you are adding positions.
  4. Click Add above the Meter Positions grid.
  5. Enter search criteria at the top of the dialog box to locate the meter positions that you want to add to the route.
  6. Click Search.
    Infor Public Sector shows a list of the meter positions that match your search criteria.
  7. Select all the meter positions that you want to add to the route and click Append selected addresses to route.
    If the positions are in no other routes, Infor Public Sector adds them to the current route. If a position is in another route, a dialog box is displayed indicating which route the position is in. You have the option of transferring the position from that route to the current one, leaving the position in its current route and adding the remaining selected positions, or canceling the process.
  8. When you're finished adding meter positions, click Close.
    Infor Public Sector adds the appended positions to the Meter Positions grid, after any existing positions. Index numbers are assigned to the new meter positions according to the order in which they were added. If you’ve selected the automatic update option in Route Sequence Setup, Infor Public Sector also resets the route’s sequence numbers.
