Removing a meter
- Select Asset Management > Assets > [Sewer, Storm, or Water].
- On the Meter tab, under Meter Management, click Remove Meter.
-
Specify this information:
- Meter ID
- Specify the identification code for the meter that you are
removing.
If the meter is currently installed at an address position, the meter's address, position, and installed date are displayed. Infor Public Sector also shows the associated register and component, if they exist, in the Register and Meter Component fields. The Child Components grid lists all components for which the selected meter is listed as the master component on the Associated tab of the Meter Component InfoViewer.
- Service Status
- Specify the identification code for the status of the meter.
- Reading
- Enter the final meter reading.
In the rare case that this final reading is 0.00, such as if the meter rolls over from 9999.00 to 0.00, click Record Zero Reading to indicate that you've deliberately entered a reading of 0.00. Note that clicking the link replaces any value in the field with 0.00.
- Estimate Reading
- If you're unable to get an accurate reading, click this
link to calculate an estimated reading for the meter. Also select
the Estimated check box.
Infor Public Sector calculates an estimated reading based on a formula defined during setup, and notifies you if an estimate can't be found.
- Ready to Bill
- If you want this final reading to be approved and included in the next bill, select this check box. Otherwise the reading won't be included in the next bill.
- Reader Code
- Optionally, enter a code to record any irregular
circumstances about a meter reading, such as a meter malfunction or
suspected tampering.
Depending on the reader code, Infor Public Sector might highlight the reading in a certain color when it is reviewed using Review Meter Readings. Infor Public Sector may also assign a default service request type that can later be used to create a service request, such as a request to repair or inspect a faulty meter.
-
Click Save.
Infor Public Sector saves the removal information, clears the fields so that you can remove more meters, and shows a message that the meter has been removed successfully.
