Working with meter reader codes and problem codes
Reader codes and problem codes can be used to record irregular circumstances while taking a meter reading. For example, you might use a reader code to indicate that a meter couldn't be read, or you could use problem codes to indicate conditions that require further attention, such as meter malfunctions or tampering.
Infor Public Sector shows readings with reader codes on the Reader Codes tab, and readings with problem codes on the Problem Codes tab. If a reader or problem code is associated with a default service request type or work order activity, you can create the service request or work order by clicking the Create link in the Default Work Order or Default Service Request column in the grid on either tab. You can also select multiple readings and then click Create Default WO or Create Default SR above the grid to create work orders or service requests for all of them.
Some reader codes and problem codes are merely informational, while other codes indicate that a reading should be marked as an exception. Any readings with codes that mark them as exceptions are also displayed on the Exceptions tab.
