If the quantity of parts you specified is less then or equal to the quantity available in the stock area, Infor Public Sector shows a summary of the reserve transaction and a message that the transaction was created successfully.
If the quantity reserved is greater than the quantity available, Infor Public Sector gives you the option of canceling the transaction, reserving the quantity available, or reserving the quantity specified even though it is greater than the quantity available. If you choose the third option the quantity available will be a negative number, indicating that more parts are reserved than are currently on hand in the stock area.
