Specifying a vendor for a manufacturer part

You can use the Manufacturer Catalog InfoViewer to specify the vendors of the parts produced by your manufacturers. You can then cross-reference a manufacturer's part number with a different number used by the vendor for the same part.

  1. Load the manufacturer part you want into the Manufacturer Catalog InfoViewer.
  2. On the Vendor tab, click Add above the grid.
    Infor Public Sector searches your vendor catalog and shows a list of the vendors that supply this part to your agency and their corresponding numbers for this same part. To search for other vendor part records or to refine your search, enter search criteria in the fields at the top of the lookup and click Search.
  3. Select the correct vendor part record and click Select.

    Infor Public Sector closes the lookup and shows the vendor part record in the grid.

    You can select more than one manufacturer part in the list to cross-reference the vendor part number with multiple manufacturer part numbers simultaneously.
