Recording an asset usage reading from a service request

If a service request is associated with an asset, and the request type supports usage readings, you can use the Service Request InfoViewer to view and record usage readings for the associated asset.

  1. Load the correct service request into the Service Request InfoViewer.
  2. On the Usage Readings tab, click Add above the Readings grid.
    Note: The Usage Readings tab is only displayed if the Show Usage Details check box is selected for the request type in Service Request Type.
  3. Specify the date of the usage reading in the Reading Date field.
  4. Specify the total usage for the asset in the Value field.
  5. Click Save.
