Assigning an inspector to a service request

Assigning an inspector to a service request means entering the inspector's employee ID in the Inspector field. Infor Public Sector users the assigned inspector to filter service requests in Check TO-DO List and in several of the CRM items in My Infor. You can also assign an inspector to an individual request using the Inspection tab of the InfoViewer.
  1. Select Customer Service > Service Request > Dispatch Inspector.
    Note: You can also use Check TO-DO List to assign inspectors.
  2. Look up the service requests that you want to assign.
  3. In the Service Request Results grid, select each service request that you want to assign.
  4. Click Action and select Assign Inspector.
  5. Specify the inspector's employee ID in the Inspector field.
    If the inspection hasn't been scheduled, you can also schedule it by entering a date and time in the Schedule On field.
  6. Click Save.
    Infor Public Sector assigns the inspector to each selected service request, and schedules the inspection if you entered a scheduled date. You can see the assigned inspector on the Inspection tab of the Service Request InfoViewer. After assignments are made you can use Reassign Inspector to reassign or unassign them.
