Submitting a service request
- Select Customer Service > Service Request > Submit Service Request.

Specify this information:
- Request Type
- Specify the type of service request that you're submitting.
- Location
- Specify the location of the service request. You can specify an
address, parcel, or property, and you can provide additional
information in the Location field, such as a description of the
location.
If the service request is for an asset, you can specify the asset by selecting the asset type from the Asset list and entering the identification code for the asset. Depending on the request type, asset information may be required.
If you agency is using the Billing module, you can also specify an account number in the Account # field.
- Customer
- Enter the contact information for the customer who is requesting service.

Click Next.
Depending on the request type, Infor Public Sector may show a message asking if you want to resolve the service request. Click Yes or No to indicate whether you want to resolve the request.
- In the fields under Information, enter any other information for the service request, such as its priority level and responsible party.

Click Next.
Depending on the type of request, Infor Public Sector may automatically set deadlines for the request to be scheduled, inspected, and resolved. You can schedule and assign the inspection at this point, or you can click Finish to submit the service request without scheduling and assigning an inspection.

Click Finish.
Infor Public Sector shows the service request number and a message telling you that the service request was created successfully. You can click the Request # link to open the request in the Service Request InfoViewer. Infor Public Sector also shows four links that you can use to create a new blank service request; a new request with the same caller; a new request with the same caller and location; or a new request with all of the same information.
You can click the Action button and select Schedule Inspection to schedule an inspection for the service request. If your agency has purchased Code Enforcement, you can also use the Action button to create a new case based on the service request.
