Service request types
When you create a service request type you can enter information such as the type of inspector required, default priority and responsibility codes, and the deadlines for service requests to be scheduled, inspected, and resolved. You can also define rules for sending automated emails about service requests, such as an email informing the customer when a request is resolved.
For some request types you may also want to generate related records such as work orders or code enforcement cases. For example, you may want to automatically add a work order when a service request is submitted for a broken water main. Depending on the other modules your agency is using, you can define rules for creating work orders, asset inspections, cases, or one-off charges for customers' billing accounts.
