Model homes

You assign model homes to a building application through its parent project application. Each model home contains a set of characteristics, such as the square footage of heated areas, the square footage of deck space, or the number of fireplaces. Your agency can use these characteristics to assess additional requirements on the application, such as fees or inspections. Using model home options, you can record alterations to the characteristics of an application's base model, such as adding square footage to a heated area or removing square footage from an unfinished area. Note that model homes are only available if your agency has purchased the Project module.

If your agency is using the Building Permits module and the Project module, you can use model homes to start building applications. Infor Public Sector uses model homes to define a set of shared base characteristics of structures that are being built as part of a larger project, such as a subdivision with five base designs for all of its houses. Each model home is defined in the project application, and contains characteristics such as square footage or the number of fireplaces.
