Defining a model home characteristic group

A model home characteristic group contains all of the characteristics that a project application requires to define its model homes. For example, you could define a Condo characteristic group that contains Heated Area, Unheated Area, Shaded Area, Patio, and Fireplace characteristics. You would then associate the Condo group with any Condo project application and use the group's characteristics to define that project's model homes. Only one characteristic group can be associated with a project. Whether a particular model has a characteristic, and what the value for a characteristic is, are determined when you define the models for a project.

  1. Select Project > Setup > Model Home Characteristics.
  2. In the Model Home Characteristics tree, right-click the Model Home Characteristics root node and select Create a Characteristic Group.
  3. Specify a name for the new characteristic group in the Group Code field.
  4. Provide a description of the group in the Group Description field.
  5. Specify effective and expire dates if you want to limit when the characteristic group is effective.
  6. Click Save.
Infor Public Sector shows the new characteristic group and its description in the Model Home Characteristics tree. You can now define model home characteristics for this group.
