Changing a license's primary site

Note: In a CDR Billing environment, depending on the application type, changing the primary site can also trigger a change in the billing account associated with the application.
  1. Look up the license whose primary site you want to change.
  2. Select the correct license in the lookup results grid, or open the license in the InfoViewer.
  3. Click Action and select Change Sites.
  4. Under Primary Site, change the information as required.

Depending on how your agency processes licenses, Infor Public Sector shows address, parcel, property, or asset fields. You can select a different site type from the Primary Site list. Note that assets can only be used as sites if the Enable Asset Sites check box is selected in License System Setup.

Any addresses, parcels, properties, or building assets that are linked to the license's primary site are displayed under Linked Sites. (Buildings are the only assets that are displayed as linked sites.) Unlike associated sites, which are linked directly to a license, linked sites are linked to the primary site.

Note: A license's linked sites only include sites that are associated with the primary site at the time that the primary site is specified. To maintain historical accuracy, any later changes are not reflected in the linked sites. For example, suppose the primary site is an address that has one linked parcel. If you later remove the link between the address and the parcel in the Address InfoViewer, the license's linked sites will still include the parcel.
  5. Click Save.
If you entered a new address as the primary site or entered an existing address incorrectly, Infor Public Sector lists all addresses currently on record that are a possible match for the information you entered. If the address is displayed in the list, select it. If the address is not in the list, click Add New Address to add the address to your agency's records. Infor Public Sector updates the license's primary site. You can click Check Status Check Status button to see if any requirements must be fulfilled before this license can advance to the next milestone. If you click Check Status, Infor Public Sector shows the License Status dialog box with the results of the check. Click Close to close the dialog box.
