Milestones

Individually, milestones define important points in the licensing process for specific license types or the approval process for specific endorsement types, such as when a license application is filed or when an endorsement is added to a license. Taken together, the milestones form the entire licensing process for a license type, from initial filing to renewal, or form the entire approval process for an endorsement type, from addition to approval. Infor Public Sector automatically moves licenses and endorsements through each milestone defined in their license or endorsement type and can stop a license or endorsement from moving from one milestone to another based on criteria that you define.

You use the Milestones node in the License Types tree to define each milestone that a license or endorsement type might pass through. You can also define an endorsement milestone using the Milestone grid when define an endorsement. A milestone typically consists of information about the milestone that follows it and a list of the status checks that control whether a license or endorsement can advance to the next milestone. When defining the next milestone, you can specify a fixed milestone or write a formula to calculate what the next milestone should be. You can indicate that a milestone is the first or last in the licensing or endorsement approval process and define standard operating procedures that members of your agency should follow for a license or endorsement that is in that milestone. This information is displayed throughout License when you view information about a license's milestone. You can also associate a milestone with license details, condition types, fee types, inspection types, and review types. These associations indicate when Infor Public Sector should add a license detail, condition, fee, inspection, or review to a license.
