Associating other cases or applications

You can associate a case with another case as either a parent or child. You can also associate cases with applications, cases, and licenses from other CDR modules.

To associate a parent case you can use either Lookup Cases or the Case InfoViewer.

• In the lookup, select the correct case, click Action, and select Associate a Parent Case. Then enter the identification number of the parent case and click Save. You can select multiple cases in the Lookup Results grid to associate them all with the same parent.
• In the InfoViewer, select the Related Records tab and enter the parent case in the Parent Cases grid.

To associate one or more child cases, select the Related Records tab in the InfoViewer and enter the child cases in the Child Cases grid.

To associated other applications, use the Other Applications and Licenses grid on the Related Records tab of the InfoViewer. Select the correct CDR module from the Product Family list, enter the application number, and click Save.
