Changing a case's primary site

Note: In a CDR Billing environment, depending on the case type, changing the primary site can also trigger a change in the billing account associated with the case.

See Changing an application's billing account.

  1. Look up the case whose primary site you want to change.
  2. Select the correct case in the lookup results grid, or open the case in the InfoViewer.
  3. Click Action and select Change Sites.
  4. Under Primary Site, change the information as required.

Depending on how your agency processes cases, Infor Public Sector shows address, asset, parcel, or property fields. You can select a different site type from the Primary Site list. Note that assets can only be used as sites if the Enable Asset Sites check box is selected in Case System Setup.

Any addresses, parcels, properties, or building assets that are linked to the case's primary site are automatically displayed under Linked Sites. (Buildings are the only assets that are displayed as linked sites.) Unlike associated sites, which are linked directly to a case, linked sites are linked to the primary site.

Note: A case's linked sites only include sites that are associated with the primary site at the time that the primary site is specified. To maintain historical accuracy, any later changes are not reflected in the linked sites. For example, suppose the primary site is an address that has one linked parcel. If you later remove the link between the address and the parcel in the Address InfoViewer, the case's linked sites will still include the parcel.
  5. Click Save.
If you entered a new address as the primary site or entered an existing address incorrectly, Infor Public Sector lists all addresses currently on record that are a possible match for the information that you entered. If the address is displayed in the list, select it. If the address is not displayed, click Add New Address to add the address to your agency's records. The Case Status dialog box is then displayed, showing the case's current milestone and a message that the case has been changed. You can click Check Status Check Status button to see if any requirements must be fulfilled before this case can advance to the next milestone. If you click Check Status, Infor Public Sector shows the Case Status dialog box with the results of the check.
