Defining a case type for Rhythm for Civics

Infor Rhythm for Civics is a cloud-based web portal that customers and members of the public can use to work with cases in Infor Public Sector. When defining a case type, you can enter settings that will be used for that case type in Rhythm for Civics.

These elements in the Case Type dialog box define how a case type is presented in the portal:

  • Select the Show in Portal check box if you want cases of this type to be shown in Rhythm for Civics.
  • Select the Is Public check box to show cases of this type to members of the public.
  • In the Portal Description field you can specify an alternative description of the case type to be displayed in Rhythm for Civics.
  • Use the Portal Instructions field to provide instructions for working with cases of this type. The instructions will be displayed for users in the portal site.

For case milestones, you can use the Is Public in Portal check box to show cases at the current milestone to members of the public. Otherwise only customers can see cases at this milestone.

Finally, you can use the Log Generation Links node in Case Workflow to define custom links that will be displayed for cases in Rhythm for Civics. Users in the portal site can click these links to add log entries and, optionally, change the status of cases.
