Milestones
Individually, milestones define important points in the code enforcement process for specific case types, such as when a case is reported or when a hearing takes place. Taken together, the milestones form the entire code enforcement process for a specific case type, from initial filing to completion. Infor Public Sector automatically moves cases through each milestone defined in its case type and can stop a case from moving from one milestone to another based on criteria that you define.
You use the
node in the tree to define each milestone that a case type might pass through. A milestone typically consists of information about the milestone that follows it and a list of the status checks that control whether a case can advance to the next milestone. When defining the next milestone, you can specify a fixed milestone or write a formula to calculate what the next milestone should be. You can indicate that a milestone is the first or last in the code enforcement process and define standard operating procedures that members of your agency should follow for a case that is in that milestone. This information is displayed throughout Code Enforcement when you view information about a case's milestone. You can also associate a milestone with case details, condition types, fee types, review types, and inspection types. These associations indicate when Infor Public Sector should add a case detail, condition, fee, review, or inspection to a case.
