Defining a case detail

You can define a case detail for a case type or for a specific milestone.

  1. Select Code Enforcement > Setup > Case Workflow.
  2. In the Case Types tree, browse to the case details for the correct case type or milestone.
  3. Enable editing in the Case Details grid and click Add.
  4. Provide a brief description of the case detail in the Description field.
  5. In the Name of Detail Page field, load the detail page that this detail will use.

Click the popup button to the right of the Name of Detail Page field.

    • To use a new page, select Create New Page, click Next, and create your page in the Page Builder.
    • To use an existing page, select Use Existing Page, select the correct detail page from the Inspection Detail Types popup, and click Select.

In the Name of Detail Page field, Infor Public Sector shows the detail that you either created or selected. After a page is displayed in this field, you can modify it by clicking the field's popup button again, selecting Edit Existing Page, and clicking Next. Infor Public Sector loads the detail page into the Page Editor where you can modify it. When you're finished, click Save. You can also delete a detail page by clicking the field's popup button, selecting Delete Page, and clicking Next. Note that you can modify and delete detail pages only if no applications currently include details based on those pages.

  6. Specify the date members of your agency can start using the detail in the Effective Date field.
  7. Specify any other information about the case detail.
    • You can specify a milestone in the Add On field to indicate that the detail will always be added at that milestone. If you leave the Add On field empty, the detail can be added at any time in the code enforcement process.
    • To show the detail in the Start Case page, select the Shown in Start Case check box. If you select Shown in Start Case and specify a milestone in the Add On field, then the detail will not be shown in the Start Case page unless the add on milestone is the initial one.
    • You can also use the Add On Condition Formula field to specify a formula that calculates whether the case detail is added.
  8. Click Save.
Infor Public Sector shows the Access Group Name dialog box, which you can use to indicate the name that you want Access Control to use for this detail. The name of the detail is displayed in the field by default.
  9. Specify a name for the access control item in the Access Group Name field.
  10. Click Save.
  11. When you're finished defining case details, click Close and set up access control for each detail.
