Deleting a case type

Note: You can't delete a case type that is being used for cases that are still active within your code enforcement processes. You must first either delete those cases or change their case type.
  1. Select Code Enforcement > Setup > Case Workflow.
  2. In the Case Types tree, browse to the case type that you want to delete.
  3. Delete all supporting information for the case type, such as inspections, reviews, fees, and milestones.
    Under the case type node, and under its Details subnode, click each node and then delete all items that are displayed in the grid on the right. If an item is currently in use in your cases, you must first delete the items in those cases. Then delete any milestone associated with the case type. If no items are currently used in your agency's cases, Infor Public Sector deletes the items from the case type.
  4. Right-click the "Case Type" node and select Delete Case Type.
    Infor Public Sector deletes the case type from your list of case types and removes it from the Case Types tree. If the case type is used by any existing cases, Infor Public Sector shows a message telling you that the case type is currently in use and cannot be deleted. To delete the case type, you must first either delete the cases that use this case type or change their case type
