Duplicating a case type

If you want to create a case type that uses the information from an existing case type, you can duplicate the existing case type. For example, your agency might have a Template case type that includes milestones, inspections, and reviews that are common to most of its case types. You can then duplicate that case type and make the necessary changes to create new Nuisance-Weeds and Nuisance-Noise case types.

  1. Select Code Enforcement > Setup > Case Workflow.
  2. In the Case Types tree, browse to the case type that you want to duplicate.
  3. Right-click the "Case Type" node and select Create Case Type based on [Case Type Name].
  4. Specify a unique name for the new case type in the Case Type field.
  5. Enter a description of the case type in the Description field.
  6. Define the new case type, making any required changes to the existing information.
  7. Click Save.
Infor Public Sector creates a new case type based on the existing case type and adds it to the Case Types tree.
