Associating an inspection type with a violation group

Infor Public Sector makes every code violation in the violation group with which you associate an inspection type available to that inspection type. You must have already defined the inspection type you're associating using Application Workflow. You can also associate inspection types with existing violations groups during this initial inspection type setup.

  1. Select [CDR module] > Setup > Code Violation Setup.
  2. In the Code Violation Groups tree, browse to the Inspection Types node for the violation group that you want to add an inspection type to.
  3. Click the Inspection Types node.
  4. Click Add above the grid.
  5. In the Application Type field, specify the identification code for the application type that contains the inspection type you want to associate.
  6. In the Inspection Type field, specify the identification code for the inspection type that will have access to the violation group's code violations.
  7. Specify effective and expire dates if you want to limit when the association will be effective.
  8. Click Save.
Infor Public Sector associates the inspection type with the violation group and shows the association in the grid. Members of your agency can now use the violation group's code violations in inspections of the specified type. Note that if you later delete an inspection type from a violation group, it will cause errors in any of those inspections that use a code violation from the group. If you delete an inspection type from the violation group, you must delete the appropriate code violations from those inspections. Also note that removing the inspection type from the violation group does not delete the inspection type from your records.
