Defining a final milestone

Every permitting process must have a final milestone at which Infor Public Sector will no longer attempt to advance the application through its permitting process and will not automatically add inspections, fees, and other items. Members of your agency can still add these items manually.

  1. Select Building Permits > Setup > Application Workflow.
  2. In the Application Types tree, browse to the Milestones node for the correct application type.
  3. Right-click the Milestones node and select Create a Milestone.
  4. Type a name for the milestone in the Milestone field.
The name must be unique within the application type but can be reused in other application types.
  5. Select the Completed Application Milestone check box.
  6. Specify any other information about the milestone.
You can indicate the application status that Infor Public Sector will assign to an application at this milestone, such as Void or Closed. You can select the type of status date that Infor Public Sector will use, such as Final or None. Among other properties, you can indicate that the milestone is displayed last in the Application Types tree using the Display Order field. For example, if an application type has eight milestones, you can specify 8 in this field. You can also specify any standard operating procedures that your agency should follow.
  7. Click Save.
