Duplicating an application type

If you want to create an application type that uses the information from an existing application type, you can save yourself some data entry by duplicating the existing application type. For example, your agency might have a Template application type that includes milestones, inspections, and reviews that are common to most of its application types. You can then duplicate that application type and make the necessary changes to create new application types.

  1. Select Building Permits > Setup > Application Workflow.
  2. In the Application Types tree, browse to the application type that you want to duplicate.
  3. Right-click the "Application Type" node and select Create Application Type based on [Application Type Name].
  4. Type a unique name for the new application type in the Application Type field.
  5. Type a description of the application type in the Description field.
  6. Define the new application type, making any required changes to the existing information.
  7. Click Save.
    Infor Public Sector creates a new application type based on the existing application type and adds it to the Application Types tree.
