Inspection result codes
To record inspection in Infor Public Sector results you must specify a result code. The available result codes are defined using Code Definition Management on the menu. Inspection result codes are standard code definitions, but they include some additional data that determines how Infor Public Sector will process inspections.
First, when defining an inspection result code, you can select a result action from the Result Action list, which indicates whether additional action is required. For example, if an inspection fails, you might want to generate a re-inspection.
The additional actions may also depend on whether the inspection for which you're recording results is flagged as a partial inspection. Each result code has a Check For Partial check box that determines how partial inspections are handled.
These are the actions that you can select for inspection result codes:
- NoActionRequired: If the inspection is not partial, then no further action is required. If the inspection is partial, and the Check For Partial check box is selected for the result code, then Infor Public Sector generates a reinspection.
- ReInspectionIsRequired: Infor Public Sector will create a new inspection of the same type. Any unresolved code violations are transferred to the new inspection.
-
AutoComplyCodeViolations: If the inspection
has unresolved code violations, Infor Public Sector shows a
dialog box where you can specify a status code that will be used for the code
violations.
The inspection result code may also have a code violation status code defined for it. In that case, Infor Public Sector will use that code for all code violations.
As with NoActionRequired, Infor Public Sector will also generate a reinspection if the inspection is partial and the Check For Partial check box is selected.
In addition to the result action, you can specify a code violation status code in the Auto Comply Code Violation field. The selected status will be used to resolve any open code violations associated with the inspection. If you select AutoComplyCodeViolations as the result action but don't specify a resolution code, then Infor Public Sector will show a prompt for you to specify a resolution code when you specify the result code on an inspection.
