Accepting a donation

If you've set up donations in Infor Public Sector Billing, you can use the Cash Register to accept donations from customers while they're paying their bills.

  1. Select Cashiering > Cash Register.
  2. Select the register and drawer that you want to log in to and click Select.
  3. Search for the account-related charges the customer is paying.
    Infor Public Sector doesn't require you to load any charges before accepting a donation. However, you will typically search for account-related charges first, because donations are linked to customers' billing accounts. Loading charges also makes it easier to select the correct account number for each donation.
  4. Click Donation.
  5. Specify the customer's account number. If you've already loaded account-related charges, you can select the Selected Accounts option and select the account number from the drop-down list. You can also select the Account # option and use the popup to search for an account number. You can only accept one donation per account at a time.
  6. Specify the amount of the donation in the Donation field.
  7. Click Add.
  8. Click Close to close the Donations box.
  9. Collect the payment from the customer.
