Line item types

Use Line Item Setup to define each type of line item that can be included in your agency's bills.

Line item setups are managed in a single location, so you can use the same line items across multiple bill types. After you define line item types, you can add them to bill types.

Note that line items include charges and every type of transaction that can affect the balance of a bill, including payments, penalties, and adjustments. To process payments for a specific bill type, for example, you must define at least one payment line item and associate it with the bill type.

Depending on the Infor Public Sector products your agency has purchased, you'll see up to three main nodes in the Line Item Setup tree: CDR, for CDR Billing line items, Sundry for Sundry Billing linte items, and Utility for Utility Billing line items. Each of these includes sub-nodes for all of the different types of line items you can define, such as adjustments and one-off charges. To define a new line item type, right-click the desired node and select Create "Line Item" Setup.

Note: If you are using CDR Billing, CDRAtCostFee, CDRDeposit, and CDRStandardFee nodes display existing line items of those types, but you cannot add new ones. These line items correspond to CDR fee types, and are added automatically when you create new fee types for your application, case, or license workflows.
