Creating utility services at an address

  1. Select Billing > Setup > Service > Create Address Services.
  2. Enter search criteria to locate the addresses you want to set up services for.
Note: You can use the Address Route field to search for all addresses that belong to a particular route.
  3. Click Search.
Infor Public Sector shows a list of addresses that match your search criteria and that do not yet have services set up.
  4. Select all the addresses for which you want to create services.
Note: To select multiple addresses, you can click individual addresses, hold down the SHIFT key and click the first and last addresses in a range, or click Select All to select all addresses in the grid. To deselect addresses, click highlighted addresses or click Clear All.
  5. Click Next.
  6. In the Address Template field, specify the template that defines the account fields and services you want to add to the selected addresses.
  7. Click View/Modify Account Fields and Services if you want to review or update the defaults for the selected address template.
Infor Public Sector shows the account fields defined for the address template and a Services grid that lists all the services that will be added to the selected addresses. You can edit any of the account fields, or you can use the grid to add, remove, or edit services. You can also click Specify Different Template to hide the account fields and the Services grid and specify a different template in the Address Template field.
  8. Click Generate Generate button.

Infor Public Sector adds the account fields and services defined in the address template to all the addresses you selected and shows a message that the process has been successfully completed. You can click Create More Address Services to restore the blank Create Address Services form. After you've finished setting up address services, you can use the Manage Account Page to create accounts for the selected addresses.

If any of the addresses for which you're creating services have multiple meter positions and allow duplicate services, Infor Public Sector also asks you to indicate whether you want to create a separate service for each position, or a single service for all positions.
